Cotswolds Project

Cotswold project

In 2010 we bought a house in the Cotswolds, originally built as a workers' cottage in the early 18th Century and extended over the years. We began work in 2014 to transform the house into a comfortable family home, with a bold design to create a unique modern living space. A driveway was constructed, as there was no previous vehicle access, then the works began to extend the house and build a garage and swimming pool.

Sustainability

Sustainability was a key element of the project. We installed ground and air source heat pumps using the latest thermal technology. The house is no longer reliant on fossil fuel and reached the optimum standards in energy-efficiency, an achievement of which we are very proud. We also installed a green roof for carbon capture and to attract pollinators, and triple-glazed glass screens in the extension to conserve heat.
